London architecture particularly buildings down Whitehall, where huge windows framed in arches are separated by large pillars repeated in rows and columns along the length of a structure, clash with the delicate organic nature of florals, particularly plants with circular flower heads like daisies, dahlias and chrysanthemums.
The colour palette that will be used has been taken from Spring/Summer 2017 Womenswear New Order trend, which have then been slightly adjusted to a much softer palette of pastel lemon yellow and blush pink complemented next too crisp white and greyed tones of peachy orange and lilac. Depth is added to the palette by rich purples of grape and fig.
With this project the aim was to produce a collection of 6 final designs for Women’s fashion garments, aimed at young women in their twenties. The final designs would be seen on ready-to-wear catwalks of a similar fashion to those seen on Holly Fulton and Elle Saab's ready-to-wear catwalks.
