From creating a moodboard focused on the colours of burnt orange, luxurious teal, deep navy blues, autumnal auburn and rich mahogany browns soften by camel and soft greys. A section of the moodboard was chosen to colour match using gouache paints of which was then simplified with each square. After the first four gouache squares, procion dyes were then used to collage to create two more simplified squares. 
From these squares the aim of this project was to produce a rug design as well as a wallpaper collection.
Rug design 
These above designs are initial rug designs taken from sections of the collage squares. To take these designs further within some of the sections more detail was added to create more interest, which can be seen in the two designs below.
Below is the result of the final rug design of which took one of the developed designs and then combined it with an element of the other developed design which created a link between all the elements.
